Unfiltered
For those who like things a little wild, a little different, and full of flavour.
This itinerary takes you off the polished path to meet some of the region’s most interesting winemakers and brewers. Think small-batch, low-intervention wines and bold local beers, served up in some of Margaret River’s most laid-back, character-filled venues.
A few of these spots aren’t open every day, so it’s always best to check their opening hours before planning your visit.
Come thirsty, leave inspired.
1
Dormillona
Start your day with a visit to Dormillona this award-winning, low-intervention winery tucked away in a relaxed corner of Margaret River township. This cellar door is usually by appointment only, so make sure to book it in. Dormilona (meaning “lazy bones” in Spanish) is all about natural, minimal-touch wines that let the fruit speak for itself. The cellar door is as unpretentious as the wines are bold. A must for curious palates.
